I felt a strong pull towards that place, just like I had felt a pull towards the rain forest. It was like the sculpture was guiding me again, showing me the next step in my journey.
But this time, the warning from the old man in the village echoed in my mind. The connection to the Lim Ling is also a responsibility. It could attract other entities.
Was I ready to embark on another journey into the unknown, potentially facing similar dangers, but this time in a different environment?
The pull from the sculpture was strong, almost irresistible. It felt like a calling.
I made a decision. I would go.
I started making preparations. This time, I couldn’t just take a spontaneous vacation. Climbing a remote mountain range required careful planning. I bought proper hiking gear, studied maps and topography, and researched the local area, including any legends or folklore associated with it.
I also tried to contact the villagers again, through the forestry office that rescued us. I wanted to let them know what I was doing, and perhaps ask for their advice. But I couldn’t reach the specific people who had helped me. The forestry office staff told me the village was very isolated and communication was difficult.
